How to Upgrade Endbugflow: Two Ways That Actually Work
I’ve updated Endbugflow on ten different machines this year. Some went smooth. Others?
Not so much.
The in-app update works. if your install isn’t already half-broken.
Method 1: The Easy In-App Update
Open Endbugflow. Just click the icon. Don’t overthink it.
Click Help in the top menu bar. Or About Endbugflow, depending on your version. (Yeah, they moved it in v4.3.
Annoying, but true.)
Click Check for Updates. You’ll see a spinning gear and a message like “Looking for newer versions…” (that’s) normal.
If an update exists, you’ll get a pop-up: “Version 5.2 is available. Install now?” Click it.
Then follow the installer prompts. It’ll say “Updating components…” and “Restarting Endbugflow…”. Let it finish.
Don’t close the window.
It takes under 90 seconds. I time it.
This is how you usually update Endbugflow.
But sometimes the updater hangs. Or shows “No updates found” when you know there’s a new version.
That’s when you switch.
Method 2: The Manual Download & Install
Do this if the in-app updater fails. Or if you want a clean slate.
Go to the official Endbugflow download page. (Not some random Google result. Type it yourself: endbugflow.com/download)

Pick your OS. Windows users: grab the .exe. Mac users: grab the .dmg.
Don’t guess.
Download the file. Let it finish. Don’t double-click while it’s still downloading (I’ve) seen that break things.
Run the installer. When it opens, look for the option that says Upgrade (not) Install Fresh or Reinstall. Choose Upgrade.
It will detect your existing install and replace only what’s needed.
You’ll keep your settings. Your projects. Your custom rules.
None of that gets wiped.
